BSA Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Every Scouting activity moves boys toward three basic aims: character development, citizenship training, and mental and physical fitness.

Pack 8 Need to Know

  • Pack 8 is for boys in grades K-5 

    • If you are looking for a Co-ed Pack, check out Pack 613

​

    • If you have a 6th grader or older Please check out Troop 8

​

  • Two Flexible 1-hour Meetings a Month

    • Sundays between 3-5pm (Start times differ by Den)

    • Most meetings are at St. Matthew's Parish Center, but can meet in local parks and natural areas with advance notice 

​

  • ​​​Pack 8's Annual Dues are $160 

    • Needs based Scholarships are available​

  • Application is through the BSA's My Scouting Website 

    • There is a $25 new member fee and a $98 Annual Membership fee, those are paid to the BSA and are not part of Pack 8 Dues​

​

  • Every member of the household who may attend a Scout Function needs to turn in a medical form at the start of each Scouting Year (Aug/Sept) or upon joining

    • Please Print and turn into a Leader at your first event​

​

  • Parents and Adults should expect to take part in their families Scouting journey, and are highly encouraged to volunteer
